STATEMENT
Eliza is a London-based artist and creative working across video, performance, food, and education. Most of her research looks at how the human body is perceived by patriarchal systems and societies. Themes of contamination, sexuality, autonomy, and control are examined by the artist who repeatedly depicts the corporeal body as abject. Eliza seeks to create a limbo-like state that challenges easy categorisation and patriarchal social structures that govern bodies. She explores the dichotomy of institutional and personal experience.
